My Story
I am a Statistician with several years of experience in academia and industry. In the past several years I have been involved in many projects performing data analysis using statistical modeling as well as machine learning techniques dealing with big data.
Since I began my professional journey I’ve been lucky to have had the opportunity to work on some exciting solo and collaborative projects. I take pride in all that I do and in the long-term relationships I’ve fostered in the process. I firmly believe that hard work eventually pays off and that a good challenge offers an opportunity to develop and improve, which is why I make a point of seeking out new ones in the professional realm as well as in my personal life.

Educational History
PhD. Statistics, University of Windsor
2008 - 2012
My research was focused on building better predictive models in the area of high dimensional data through improved estimation of model parameters. My area of research was the development and application of James-Stein type shrinkage estimation and comparing its performance with LASSO and other absolute penalty estimators. Other areas of interest include machine learning, Bayesian and MCMC methods, high-dimensional data analysis and spatial statistics.
MSc. Economical Statistics, Allameh Tabatabai University
2004 - 2007
My research was focused on Dual Response Surface Methods for simultaneous optimization of the mean and standard deviation of the process responses . These methods are important in determining the optimal operating conditions for an industrial process, so that the target value for the mean of a quality characteristic is met and its variability is also minimized.

BSc. Statistics, Allameh Tabatabai University
2000 - 2004
My project was to explore and learn machine learning technique such as Classification and Regression Trees (CART), Clustering and Principal Component Analysis
